Peace, Love, and Understanding: Getting The Best Out of Your Client/Boss

Client relations are like enriched uranium: an effective and powerful thing when handled with knowledge and care. But one little mixup, hiccup, or oversite can blow up a whole project. We all saw Chernobyl (and if you didn’t, ask a friend or loved one for the HBOGo password right now, and get on it). So how do we safely handle and care for these relationships? Cue Elvis Costello. With a little 1.) peace, 2.) love, and 3.) understanding.

Fanhood Branding Featured In Brand New’s Noted Section

"Overall, as a basketball fan and a design fan, this is an instant sign-up, so mission accomplished." - Armin Vit. Head over to Brand New today to see Hoodzpah’s work for Fanhood reviewed by Armin Vit, one half of the dynamic duo behind Under Consideration’s Brand New. We have seen moments of unfettered glory and moments of abject failure on Brand New. So we were stoked to read Armin's comments, and see the voting reactions.

Cracking the Code of Communication

Having worked with tons of subcontractors, and even hiring a few for PT or FT positions in our 8 years doing Hoodzpah, I know the biggest quality lacking across the board is communication. You can be an amazing designer/illustrator/creative who does mind-blowing work, but if you’re not communicating with me to make sure you understand the project, it stays on track, and deadlines are met smoothly, I won’t want to work with you again. And it’s probably safe to say most agencies, businesses, and clients feel the same.

AIGA Boston #FABAS Talk + Workshop recap

We had such a blast in Boston! We walked the Freedom Trail, saw amazing old gravestones of our forefathers, ate all the Lobster Rolls, and survived driving around the streets of Boston (can you even call them streets?).
