Netflix’s live action One Piece is back for Season 2! We got to join the Netflix Global Consumer Products team—under the creative direction of the hilarious, the visionary, Banna Tesfay—to build out a suite of graphic assets. Luffy and his crew set out on the Grand Line this season, so we were tasked with creating graphics, icons, patterns and badges that celebrate all the exciting locations they’re about to visit—from Loguetown to Whiskey Peak. The vibe was travel posters, passport stamps, and vintage postcards.
The final designs live in a library that Netflix licensees and collaborators can download and remix to create their own assets for brand partnerships.

Icons inspired by passport stickers were created for all the locations that Luffy and crew will explore in Season 2 of One Piece, streaming now on Netflix. We’ll also learn about many new devil fruits and their wild side effects. Thus devil fruit icons were a must have.

Each One Piece location also got it’s own retro-inspired travel poster. Easter eggs litter the scenes, like Buggy’s circus tent in the distant hills of Loguetown, or Laboon’s whale tail peaking out of the river on Twin Cape.

Banna and team asked for icons for each location on the Grand Line: Whiskey Peak, Loguetown, Twin Cape, Little Island, and Drum Island.
