Stars and Stripes Collection | Item No. 005
While Texas might be big on the map, and bigger in our hearts, this 1″ x 1″ enamel pin lets the Lone Star state live comfortably on your lapel. We designed this Texas enamel pin (miss you, Tim Riggins) to celebrate everything that’s great about America’s 28th state: Lone Star belt buckles, old faded Levis, and that slow, slurrin’ syntax – to start. It’s a place where Willie, Waylon, and the boys would go to escape fast living. Its vast expanse boasts iconic destinations like the ethereal Hamilton Pool Preserve in Hamilton Springs, the vistas of Enchanted Rock, the trails of Big Bend national park, the nostalgic heaps at the Austin Citywide Garage Sale, and the facilities of NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Its music and nightlife are renowned. The people are as varied as the landscape: cowboys, farmers, truckers, entrepreneurs, whatever Tim Duncan is doing these days – the state is big enough for any dream to fill. Texas is a place where tubing down a river is therapy, and Barbecue is your daily vitamin. If you’re from Texas, or have ever passed through, you know this love letter only scrapes the surface of the great state.
The Texas Enamel Pin is made in brass with a gold plating. On the back of the pin is etched the O&S logo and item number in the Stars and Stripes collection (gotta collect them all!). Comes with 2 pin posts with rubber backings for a more secure hold.
Note: Pins can loosen and even fall off over time. Odds and Sods uses rubber backings, which stay in place firmer than flimsy metal clasps, but be sure to tighten your backs often and remove pins from bags or backpacks that get knocked around more than jackets or clothing.
