If we lived nearer to San Fran we would so be at the “2nd Annual Bad Dads: A Tribute to the Films of Wes Anderson” group exhibit opening on Halloween at Spoke Art. “Bad Dads” is an ode to the films of Wes Anderson. From my personal favorite The Royal Tenenbaums to my runner up favorite Rushmore, the show covers all of Wes Anderson’s greatest as seen through the eyes of a slew of different artists. There will also be tons of limited edition and affordable prints and paintings available in person (and if you can’t get there online). The show opens on October 29th and 30th (due to popular demand they had to have TWO opening nights) at Spoke Art. Spoke has the most interesting shows. Their current exhibition is equally as interesting: “Quentin vs. Coen”, a collection of art themed around the films of the two legendary and unique directors. One day maybe Hoodzpah will be asked to join one of their amazing group exhibits! Dream big, baby.
Anyways, if you’re in the area here are the deets!
Saturday, October 29th: 6pm – 10pm Sunday, October 30th – noon – 10pm Spoke Art 816 Sutter St. San Francisco, CA 94109 The show will be on view until the end of November and admission is free of charge, but don’t forget to RSVP if you want in on the opening night action!
