About

The Stars and Stripes Collection | Item No. 001

The East Side And Down pin is our love letter to East Nashville. Growing up, Odds and Sods co-founders Amy and Jen Hood would drive south to Nashville to frequent emo, rock n’ roll and bluegrass shows. It was the closest city to Bowling Green, KY, the town they spent their adolescence in. They’d escape the corn fields for good food, great people, and even better music. Since their days in the early 2000s hanging out at Christopher’s Pizza, Mercy Lounge and the Exit/In, the city has evolved a lot, with a great community burgeoning in East Nashville particularly. It’s a place removed from the bustle and bachelorette parties of Broadway St. in downtown. East Nashville is home to the 5 Spot, an epic music joint where the likes of Patrick Carney (The Black Keys), Cory Younts (Old Crow Medicine Show), Nikki Lane, Kenny Vaughan (of Marty Stuart’s band), and more have either graced the stage or just shown up for a cold PBR. The suburb of Nashville is oozing with creativity and it’s one of our favorite homes away from home. The pin itself is a riff on the classic Jerry Reed song “East Bound and Down,” and measures 1.5″ wide with 2 posts and rubber clutch backs to keep this baby right where you stick it.
