“Brooklyn Mom & Pop: A Guide” Illustrations

Herb Lester makes amazing illustration-centric travel guides and maps pretty enough to hang on the wall. The London, England based company tapped Hoodzpah to help with cover art and spot illustrations for their local guide to Brooklyn, NY, called “Brooklyn Mom & Pop: A Guide.” We created 15 spot illustrations for the interior pages (including Brooklyn staples like Long Island Bar, Soccer Bar, and Pastoso), and designed a fun, retro inspired cover featuring a Brooklyn city street, and our favorite font, Palm Canyon Drive (I know, we’re nepotistic).

The guide was also awarded at the 2015 Independent Travel Awards . Take a peak below, and be sure to head to your favorite indie book shop and grab a copy!
