East Coast look out! We’re heading to Massachusetts for our Boston “Freelance and Business and Stuff” Workshop:

The wonderful folks at AIGA Boston will be bringing us into town for a keynote talk on Friday May 3rd, and we’ll be doing our FABAS workshop the following Saturday.

Saturday, May 4th, 2019, we’ll be in Boston, MA, from 10am – 2pm diving into all things freelance and small business! In this 4 hour freelance workshop we’ll get super transparent on numbers and tactics (showing you our top secret quotes, project presentation decks, and more). We’ll go through the process of starting, running, and optimizing your own creative business through worksheets, take-home resources, a presentation, low-risk/low-cost tips and tricks, personal anecdotes, and 30-45 minutes of open Q&A at the end (so get your specific business questions ready!). We will also be emailing you our own proposal deck template after the workshop to use and abuse as you will!

Students, freelancers, entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners, and non-designers welcome. Feel free to bring a laptop or tablet, and definitely bring something to take notes with. We’ll provide workbooks (plus some goodies and adult beverages). This course is great for anyone who has just started a creative small business (freelance is small business party of one), is interested in starting their own creative business but doesn’t know how to start, or is wanting to do an audit on their creative small business to see how they can improve their systems and procedures. Photographers, motion designers, graphic designers, illustrators, and creatives of all types will benefit. We’re not focusing on any specific creative industry, but rather how to best run your operations.  If you want even more on how to start and run your business, grab our book as an add-on (discounted when you buy with the course) before adding this course to the cart.
